Is it possible to find the brides parents names for a marriage that occurred 23 Jun 1909 Battleford? The bride was an Elizabeth Cann. Her spouse was Tremmeling Richard Taylor. Info taken from 1913 Citizenship application for Tremmeling in Michigan

I have Elizabeth Cann in my tree if you still would like her info.

Hi Judy

If you have info for Elizabeth I would appreciate it. I have no idea what became of her after the death of Tremmeling. Did she remarry? Where and when did she die?

I corresponded with Gloria (Simancek) Taylor Apr. - June 2004 and saved the letters. We also spoke by phone several times.  Elizabeth Elsey Cann's parents were James Cann (born 28 Feb 1858, Durham County, Clarke Township, Ontario, Canada and Sarah Ann Pickering (born 4 May 1855, Harwich Twp, Kent Co., Ontario, Canada  James and Sarah were married 29 May 1884 in Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.  Elizabeth Elsey Cann was born 18 Sep 1888 in Aylmer, Ontario.  James was married prior but wife died in childbirth so Elizabeth had a half sister Stella Nancy.

To Gloria Taylor's knowledge and my research, Elizabeth never remarried.  Elizabeth died 5 Dec. 1964 in Detroit, Michigan, USA.  She was buried in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Elgin County, Ontario, Canada.  The grave is recorded on Find a Grave but there is no supporting photo. Had requested one years ago, never received a reply.  Perhaps there is no stone.

I do have pictures of this Cann family and of Elizabeth and Tremelling

Thanks Julie. Much appreciated.

In case you do not have this Elizabeth was buried 12 Dec 1964 and Tremmeling was buried 18 Aug 1938.
One further question if you do not mind. Do you have a death date and place for son Edward Richard Taylor? I expect somewhere around Detroit. I have followed his wife but have problems with him.

US SSDI has Edward Taylor born 18 Mar 1917 and died Detroit 12 Aug 1998. Birth slightly different than that shown on Elizabeth's Petition for Citizenship
