I have got the copy of the parish register its the census for this guy which is confusing he's on the 1851 census with his mother Elizabeth in Liverpool aged 5.

Is this the 1851 census you have?

1851c HO107; Piece: 2185; Folio: 188; Page: 68
Elizabeth FORSHAW widow 20 (age looks to be 30)
JOHN age 5 Liverpool
Mary EVANS 19 visitor

This looks to be Johnís birth entry from GRO indexes with mmn EVANS
John FORSHAW 1846  M Quarter in LIVERPOOL  Volume 20  Page 358

and possible marriage entry for his parents

Jun 1841 Liverpool
Robert FORSHAW
Female name on same page
Elizabeth EVANS

John's marriage to Mary Potter names his father as Robert Forshaw

Added - 1841 marriage details of RF to EE

1841 census Charles FORSHAW his occ. Grocer & tea dealer with Sarah plus children
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQG8-QFY

Mary Jane Forshaw born 1 May 1832
Father:   Charles Forshaw occ Grocer Mother: Sarah
Baptism Date:   16 Sep 1832 Accrington, Lancaster,
Denomination:   New Jerusalemite, Swedenborgian

I wonder if Charles Forshaw was Robert's brother?

From the 1841 marriage entry on family search for Robert to Elizabeth Evans
his father named as James Forshaw but no age given for Robert

When did Elizabeth's husband Robert Forshaw die? Do you know his age?

There's this 1806 bp. for a
Charles Forshaw parents Jas & Jane https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NV1P-JVV

Marriage for the above John Forshaw -

Mary Thompson
[Mary Bragger]
Age - 31
Marriage - 26 Jan 1870, Saint Mary, Edge Hill, Lancashire
Father - John Bragger
Spouse - John Goodwin Forshaw

So it would appear that the above 1871 can be discounted.

Quite a mystery this one  ???
