Hi there,
I am a regular contributor to the Australia Board at RChat.
May I please mention that I cannot find any mention in any of my offline resources for the possible death of the person identified in the opening post. I was born in the 1940s, and I have many living relatives who are from the generation earlier than me, alert to ensuring their personal identifying information is not shared online. In Australia, a living person's identifying information includes their name.
I have read Cell's comments on the other (locked) thread. I can confirm those comments continue to be valid.
Perhaps related to earlier topic where name was removed?

Here is the "How To" thread on the Australia Board.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=368728.0It is my understanding that we need confirmation that the Poster positively knows that their person of interest is No Longer Living before we can post any info online about that person of interest. By way of explanation I mention an RChat experience.
RChatter on Australia Board wanted information about the descendants of person xyz who was not yet 100 years of age. I asked the question "Is your person of interest no longer living". They replied effectively saying : Yes, my mother and I attended their funeral at abc church in Newcastle NSW.
Short version of longer story .... Umm.... and then .... I was visiting a relative in an Old Age Care facility near to me (I live in the Newcastle region of NSW). Ummm.... and ummm.... that deceased person of interest was NOT deceased, but was alive and frail and in 'high care' at that same Old Age Care facility. I then looked up the local phone book, found the patient's direct line listed in the phone book, found the entry online and notified a Global Moderator. The thread was 'pulled'.
The PM system is ideal for sharing any sensitive information with other RChatters .
