Hi I find your Ferriday Photo of interest, due to it's Oakengates Shropshire. connection. I am a Committee member of the Oakengates History Group, I also have a Website Oakengates History Group, via Facebook. I, myself and members post old photos of the town & people etc, on there, and then members comment on the photos, giving all sorts of memories as well as info handed down to them from past generations. There may be some in the Group who have family connections to your Ferriday's. Could I post your Family Pic on the group page, along with some info you have given on here? I will get back to you with any comments on your Pic, if you agree to allow me to use it. It is no problem if you rather I don't use it. Do you know how long they were in the Oakengates area, and what chapel your John Ferriday preached at?

Hi,

How far back does your Ferriday research go?  I am interested in Ann Ferriday who married Benjamin Groucott in Wellington, Shrops in 1750.

Any information very grateful received as atm this lady is one of my long standing brick walls.

She and Benjamin had 3 sons, Joseph (1754), Benjamin (1757) and Thomas (1764) all baptise in Wellington.
