Looking to trace WILLIAM BRIGHAM'S father (possibly JAMES born in Berwick), mother (possibly MARY ANN SCOTT born in Newcastle ) and his grandparents.
Information found to date :
1911 census (2 Simpson Street, Sunderland) living with his wife MARY ANN and their family
1901 census (as 1911)
1891 census - 99% sure (Palmerston Street, Westoe, South Shields) boarding with Elizabeth Taylor and her mother Jane. Too much of a coincidence to think this is not the same person as WILLIAM and MARY ANN's eldest daughter was named Elizabeth Jane.
It seems to me that WILLIAM moved south from Berwick to South Shields because of his work (the glass making industry is a common link on all 3 census') or maybe his parents had died and he went to live with relatives.
Family members feel he is linked to the Holy Island Brighams who had a shop or public house on the island.
Any help with the 1881 and prior census' when he would be living with his parents would be very helpful.
