Census Search

I must be getting senile . . .  I used to sometimes search a census by place only, which worked if the place was small.
But ... I have forgotten how I did it, and which website gave me the facility to enter place names only.
Can anyone help, please?

I have done this on familysearch for a small village - although their coverage is far from complete

Welcome to Rootschat :)

I've done this on Ancestry, but that was years ago using the old search.
It might work now by selecting the census you want & just entering the place details.

On Ancestry census search pages look on the right hand column for Browse this collection. You can access the images this way by geographical location. Here is 1881 England search page for example:-
