Anyone connected to the FERRIS family of Chirton/Devizes?
« on: Friday 03 February 17 19:10 GMT (UK) »
I have william ferris born 1825 in chirton. He married Hannah ?
Their children were William 1859, emily jane 1862, john 1864, jane 1857.

William ferris' parents were paul ferris and Ann?
They had four children who were all born in chirton.

Can anyone help at all?

For starters the new gro index tells us that Emily j ferris born 1862 mothers maiden name was Stone.

A William ferris probably married Hannah stone in pewsey district 1856 5a 381

I also see a William ferris born Chirton with wife Elisa and daughter Sarah in the 1851 census, with deaths for Sarah and Elisa in 1853, so he could be be on his second marriage, would need checking.
The new gro index will now tell you the ages at death, so you can see if they match.
