Look up Baptism record - Kidderminster/Bewdley please

Hi,

If anyone could look up a baptism record for me it would be appreciated.... I'm am looking for the baptism of Reginald Cook, he was born 1914 Bewdley. I sent for his birth cert and there is no father just Phoebe Maria Cook as his mother.. I was wondering if there was a father on the baptism and wanted to confirm the mother as I am unable to find a Phoebe Maria Cook of the right age in this area. The two possibles I thought might be her married in the 1890's. I found Reginald in 1939 but he is already married and there is no sign of his mother..

He might not have been baptised but have you discounted this marriage:

Phoebe M Cook    DecQ 1915   Droitwich  6c 593      Groom:  William Flatley

There are several online trees featuring her with a birthplace as Bewdley.

Might be worth looking for her on 1911 census.

Have you seen the Phoebe Maria Cooke. (With an e) regisreredi Kiddermiinster 1885.

I did look at that marriage.... wasn't sure.... but will have another look at the 1911 to see if I can find her and the 1939...

Doh...didnt think to try an 'e' on the end... head full of cold this morning...brain not working 100%! Will look at her....

The family tree on Anc lists her birth date as 10 Jan 1885 so it might be easiest to seach 1939 Reg with just her first name and birth date if she is mistranscribed

Hi, yes just saw that and I think I found her in 1901 as just Maria with her parents....but is a domestic servant which is what she put on Reginald's birth cert.... but in 1911 the Maria Cook which fits is a cotton spinner...hmmm

Oooo 1939 think she is down as Phoebe Flatley/Knowles/Baker... widow and correct dob... and working as domestic housekeeper...
