Here's a link to an old map, which includes Goshen Farm:

There was a Goshen Farm in the Bury area in Victorian times? An Unsworth family seem to have lived there from early 17th C. It seems to have been close to the river Roache.
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)

I'd assumed there'd be a Goshen Chapel ... possibly, in light of the biblical connections, with a burial ground, but I can't find anything on that idea. Sorry.
