Possible that Daniel and Willam have their ages the wrong way round as they are out of order?

Its a right mess -they are listed in order given - Eliza's age is 10 entered in male column then crossed through and 13 entered in female column!!!

Is that this family in 1851?  HO107 Piece number   1893 Folio   96 Page   13

Church Hill, Ilfracombe, Barnstaple, Devon

Daniel   Tucker   58      Ag Lab   Devon
Mary   Tucker      38                      Devon
Ann   Tucker      10                      Devon
Eliza   Tucker             4                      Devon
Daniel   Tucker     0                           Devon

You left out Jane aged 6, and Daniel is aged 3 months.

There are DENDLE families living on either side of them and I thought that Mary might be a DENDLE but I can't make sense of the registered births.

Debra  :)

There seem to be some births registered to Tucker with maiden name Dendel too.  Mis spelling/transcribing or different family?

(I want the Mary to be Mary Dendle because it would provide a really weird coincidental link - I *think* Mary Dendle's brother's descendent was my primary school headteacher!  It is the right area but we had only just moved to Devon not thinking we had any ancestors in that area at all!)

Daniel Tucker married Mary Dendle 4/2/1837 Mortehoe, Devon - both single.  He signed, she made her mark.   Witnesses Thomas Dendle (his mark) and Thomas Coniber (? hard to read).

Although later living in Ilfracombe, all children of Daniel and Mary were baptised in Mortehoe, with Anne Tucker bp.2/5/1841 (FindMyPast)
