Elsie Lenham b 1917 Stockton on Tees, mother Mytchett.
She married Jim Gower in Hull in 1940 and during the war was stationed in Hythe, Kent, or did he? Who is Reginald Edwards?

Who indeed ? Could you perhaps explain how he comes into the Elsie Lenham/Jim Gower relationship

I can't find a marriage for Elsie and Gower, but I can find one for Elsie and Edwards in 1946.
I have found an Ezra Gower,  but the family say he was definitely Jim.

Living in Kingston-upon-Hull C.B., Yorkshire

Therefore looking at the above record it would appear that Elsie did marry an 'Edwards'

The above death record shows Ezra's middle name to be James, therefore that is possibly where the Jim name came from.
