Edith Mary Morrey

desperately trying to locate the father of Edith Mary Morrey born 23 Feb 1878 in Chorlton, Lancashire. I think it may be Joshia Albert Morrey but she does not appear on the 1881 or 1901 Census so I can confirm the connection.   Any help would be much appreciated.

I think she could be on the 1881 census as M E Morrey, the 2 year old granddaughter (born Ormskirk) of the Head of the House Ellen Sumner.

Her mother is probably Ellen's daughter Mary who is also in the household.

Mary Sumner married Alfred Morrey in Q3 1877 in Ormskirk.

I know that Edith married Frederick Oliver (someone else I can find no trace of) and appears on the 1939 Register, so her date of birth is confirmed as 23 Feb 1878. I suppose I will need to purchase their wedding certificate to get the details, just that its costing a fortune buying these certificates at the moment.
