I have found a John Irving who married a Janet Bell 22/03/1828 St Mungo, a possibility?
Muckley, Routledge, Roe, Bontoft, Brumpton, Bills, Aspatria, Carlisle

There is also a Mary Irving born about 1826 Dumfries in the 1841 census address Bankside Civil Parish St Mungo Dumfrieshire

John Bell Irving age 65
Margaret Irving age 50
Mary Irving age 15
Andrew Irving age 13
Orginal Record on SP will give you relationship ...But I'm afraid this is all speculation ...without parent's names ...

The 1841 gives occupation though which can be a help as nothing else on it helps  ;D
