POLLOCK Alexander & ANDERSON Isabella - Searching for information

Hi friends,

I am searching for any information regarding Alexander Pollock and his wife Isabella Anderson. I believe Alexander was born approximately 11 February, 1822 in Irvine, North Ayrshire and died in Airdrie on 6th January, 1879. His wife Isabella Anderson was born approximately 1821 in Old Monkland and died in New Monkland on 9 April, 1889. They were married in 1843.

Alexander and Isabella Pollock's son was Robert Shaw Pollock (1850-1923). Robert married Margaret Baird (1852-1919) in Cadder on 21st July, 1871.

Furthermore, I believe Alexander Pollock's parents were Robert and Agnes Pollock nee Shaw. Isabella Anderson's Father was George Anderson.

Isabella 29 wife
Margaret 7 daughter
Isabella 7 daughter
Robert 8 months son
Robert McGregor 3 months - relationship is given as nursing

In 1861 Robert McGregor is an adopted son and Isabella junior is surname Alexander and down as a step daughter so not sure how that fits in.

And there are 3 more Pollocks - Agnes - George - Jane.

Can you acquire any information regarding Alexander Pollock's parents - Robert Pollock and Agnes Pollock nee Shaw? Also, the parents of Isabella Pollock nee Anderson (Father's name George Anderson)? Unfortunately, I only have their names, no other information.

Any information regarding Alexander and Isabella Pollock's son Robert Shaw Pollock and his wife Margaret Baird would be appreciated (see below for details).

They were more children born between 1851-1861 as anne_p has posted above

From the Scotlands people index there are death records for both Alexander Pollock in 1879 aged 57 and his wife Isabella in 1889 aged 68.

Worth registering and taking a look as hopefully parents names will be correct and you will find out cause of death and who registered the death.

Births, marriages and deaths prior to official registration in 1855 are not always there in the Old Parish Registers. Sometimes they were not recorded or the records have not survived.
