« on: Tuesday 27 July 04 15:11 BST (UK) »
I have the following info from the 81 census:
Gaynor Jones, widow, aged 61 born Conwy, CAE, Wales
Address: Pentai, Llansanffraid, DEN

Could somebody please look her up in the 91 census?

Also her nephews in the 71 census:
Jeremiah Jones, b: ca 1831 in Llansanffraid
Theophilus Jones, b: ca. 1834 in Llansanffraid

Thanks

Hi D ap D,
I've looked for ages ranging from 68 to 73 and this is the only one I could find:-
19 Divorwic St, Llanbeblig, Caernarvon
Gaynoe Jones  Head  Wid  72  Living on her own means  B-Bangor Caernarvon
Hannah Bullock  Servant  22  General Servant Domestic  B-Llaullysne Caernarvon
RG12/4661  ED:14  Folio:67  Page:7
Could this be her?

There are only 2 Theophilus Jones' born in Denbighshire, on is aged 3 this is the other:-
Brifn(or Bryn) Villa, Llysfaen, colwyn
Theophilus Jones  Head  Wid  67  Shoemaker  B-Colwyn Denbigh
Robert  S in Law  40  Quarryman  B-Colwyn Denbigh
Ellin  Dau  36  B-Colwyn Denbigh
Theo.  G/Son  16  B-Colwyn Denbigh
John  G/Son  14  B-Colwyn Denbigh
Thomas  G/Son  12  B-Colwyn Denbigh
Margaret S  G/Dau  4  B-Colwyn Denbigh
Ellin  G/Dau  2  B-Colwyn Denbigh
RG12/4673  ED:6  Folio:38  Page:35

I don't think this is him as here he is in the '71:-
9 Allun Terrace, Llanrug
Theophilus Jones  Head  36  Mariner  B-Llansantfflaid Glan Conway Denbigh
Mary  Wife  32  B-Llanwnda Carn.

Thanks Ange,
not sure if Gaynor is the right one. To move from Glan Conwy to Llanbeblig aged 71 would have been a fair hike in those days and there are no known connections to there - at least none left in 91. She was also buried in Llansanffraid in 1898, so I would have assumed she was there in 91.

Also not convinced that Theo & Jeremiah are still around in 91. The Jeremiah in 71 would fit, as his father was also a mariner.

Will PM my email.

Thanks
D

Hi Dewi,
Denbighshire isn't on the Ancestry '71 yet, which is probably why I can't find her.
