You could also get a copy of the marriage certificate for Andrew Wilson 1878 and that should give you the names of the parents for this couple ..Also the names of the witnesses maybe some family members

Kris.  you provided the info' I was a railwayman myself so just colouring the picture a bit, a Hammerman operated a steam-hammer for a blacksmith. Glasgow's Springburn was the biggest centre of railway production in Britain in its day, St Rollox was only a part of that!

Kris,  this old pic' shows The Caley from the West, the railway line bottom/left goes under Springburn Road where the offices are with a "pend" for vehicles entering the works on the left. The Blacksmiths Shop is behind/right with smoke/steam coming from the chimneys. If you scroll right on the wee pic's at the bottom, you will find a hammerman sitting operating a pneumatic hammer, a replacement for steam power.  Pic' No 1219215.

 Fountainwell is at the bottom of the picture.

I saw your posts about Elizabeth Wilson.
She pops up on my family tree as a quite distant relative
One of my family lines crosses yours, with John Wilson B: 1884
Elizabeth's older brother, he married Susan Shaw Wiltshire in 1911
in Renfrew, the Wiltshire's are my Grand-mothers line, she also
ended up in Australia (Melbourne), I am also in contact with
someone in that Wilson line too.
I hope we can chat about this.
