Cant seem to find a person. Possibly gypsy

I have been trying to trace my grandmothers family. She always told me that we had a gypsy princess in the family and she believed it to be either her grandmother or great grandmother. The only information i can get is as far as a lady called maria wistow who was born around 1870 i have found the marriage certificate as she married William wistow in seaton ross but cant find birth records or her maiden name so if anyone might be able to offer advice i would really appreciate it xc

1901 census gives a son William W Wistow, confirms mother's maiden name from GRO
