I don't know if this is the right George William Lewis but baptism St Giles Holborn

mother Mary

There was also another child who died - an earlier daughter also named Florence Amelia born Sept.1857, died June qtr.1858 (mmn Tyler).

Hi Helina:

I am looking into this family also.  Would you have the names of the witnesses at the wedding of Mary Tyler and George Lewis?  Also was her mother Mary Tyler born in Hedenham, Suffolk? I believe her mother's husband = father, was born in Deptford or Surrey. Would you know her maiden name?

Hi Joan

I will not be of much help to you at this stage.   18 months ago I decided to just keep to my direct line so deleted the rest. But of course that did not last long and back to researching sideways.  The only Lewis I have at present is George Lewis born 1792 Bristol married to Elizabeth Gordon on the 17thJan 1817. Daughter Eliza Lewis 1827-1894.


Will contact you if I come across any useful information on this family, George would of been George Lewis's father.
