Lost Davies Family
« on: Friday 10 March 17 11:07 GMT (UK) »
I cannot find the Davies family on the 1901 census. I am trying to find if they were living at Bettws Mill or had moved. The family details are William Davies born 1858, wife Elizabeth 1858 and possibly their children an Agnes and a William and a Gladys. I have found them on the 1911 census at 100 House Mill.

Any tips on how to find them on the 1901 census will be gratefully received

Many thanks, you have found the correct family. I see it says they are living at the "mill". I am presuming this is Hundred House Mill? There should be a pub close by, is there any other information to confirm the mill is at Hundred House?
Thanks again for you help

Unfortunately it doesn't say Hundred House Mill just The Mill.

The two previous households to yours have Mill Cottage however the following one over the page is down as 100 House Inn  :D  then 100 House Shop then The Vicarage.

Hello
I have William Lewis who lived in Glascwm. He married Esther Ann Davies in Glascwm in 1827. William's father is also William Lewis a soldier and a shoe maker, later living in Trevethin. Family lore has it that William Snr had other sons we cannot locate. I wonder if your Thomas was one of them? Do you have any more information on him?
