i have ordered the marraige certificate. the reason i have nanna's (ellie) fathers name is it is on her birth certificate which i do have.

Data protection locks most records for 100 years, so she will be on the 1926 Census but that won't be released until 2026, (there was no Census in 1921 in Ireland) apart for going to school, communion and conformation, people don't leave much in the way of records between birth/baptism and marriage and those type of records may never be online.

possible marriage for Julia 1956 she would be 24 yrs old if right marriage however there are usually 4 or 5 matches on a page so i would have no idea who she married but if you got the marriage cert you could look for her death in newspapers in her married name.
I found one match to Thomas Ahearne but there could be 3 more on same page.

Sinann and dathai have answered some of this

If you look back through the earlier replies and click on the links - they will bring you to sites free on line to view records.
You may be asked for your name and to answer a "capcha" question

The 1956 marriage could be Sheila/Julia which gives you a name to search for when looking for a death but unfortunately you are nearing when records stop being available online.
