Old radio interview
« on: Monday 13 March 17 21:19 GMT (UK) »
My friend's Mum was interviewed by a Canadian radio reporter back in 1947. Her name was Mrs O'keefe and she was interviewed in her home on the newly opened 'Keir Hardie Estate' in Canning Town. Any ideas how I can find out if a recording of this still exists? I know it's a long shot! :)

Do you know if the recording was actually broadcast, and, if so, on what channel/site?

I'm sorry I don't have that information. My friend is in her eighties now and can't remember anymore details. I have done various random internet searches but no joy, as I said it's a long shot trying to track down such an event after all this time. I guess I was hoping someone out there may remember hearing it, possibly having also been involved and asked for a copy of the recording/interview. Thanks for your interest :)
