With ref back to reply#7. the age at death is an anomoly the GRO is sorting out.

Child deaths recorded in months are reported as showing in years.

It's a known problem of the new GRO search facility.

I see what you mean about eva and the fact she was born so long after the last one ethel 1885 could support this
Her death monument also states 1890 so the dates should be right

Are you sure you have the right Eva? I'm looking at the family on the 1891 census, and they have an Eva aged 11, Ada is 9 and Ethel is 6.

I wonder if the idiot enumerator wrote 11 and not 11 months? That would explain a lot ...

regardless of which site you are using, why don't you post the census piece, folio and page numbers of the entry you are looking at?

I think the enumerator has made a mistake and put 11 as in years rather than months, the ages of the other children descend accordingly
