As you have an exact date of burial in 1961, it might be worth contacting the parish council to see of the can give you any more info as to whether this might be your person of interest.

I doubt whether the archives will release any informaion to you from the asylum records as what you are looking for is not more than 75 or 100 years old but it could be worth asking.
