Have just started looking into the Day family They originated in Gloucestershire but also appear in Monmouth, briefly in Shropshire and in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Any info would be great.  :)

Dates and names would be helpful ;D

For example, on the 1881 census there are 920 people called Day living in Gloucestershire!
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Hi

Welcome to rootschat

Could you please tell us what information you are after as we don't want to be looking for what you already have.  You seem to know locations so do you have all the census.

Rosie

Hi
Sorry, I will try to be more specific. I am looking for George Day in the 1841 Census (I have him on the other Censuses)  In the 1851 Census, I have him listed as a lodger with a farming family at Arlington in the parish of Bibury, Gloucestershire. His occupation is a gamekeeper, he is 22 and from Farmington in Gloucester. Any info relating to him or his family would be a real help.

Daughter Augusta's birth was registered in Northleach 1841 which is about 1 1/2 mls. from Farmington so at least you know where they were in 1841.
