Please can anyone help, look up?
« on: Thursday 16 March 17 21:11 GMT (UK) »
Hello
After making a huge mistake, or so I thought. I have stripped a generation back off my tree.

Please can you tell me who are the parents  of Catherine keenan nee Boylan who married Michael keenan in1907. On their marriage cert it says both catherines(full age) and Michaels(minor) dad are called Patrick. I found a listing for her with Jane McMahon as her mom, got loads of info, spent the day putting into my tree, only to find the Catherine of jane McMahon died as a child.

Yet I am unable to find a Catherine Boylan that had a dad called Patrick Boylan around that time.
The witnesses were Patrick Boylan and Maggie Keenan. Im assuming siblings of bride and groom.

Please can anyone point me in the right direction. I was convinced Jane McMahon was the right family.
many thanks

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

It's possible that a second Baby was named Catherine by the grieving parents
Often happened in 1800's
I know one family who had three sons named Andrew in the 1900's
Two had passed away as infants.

Thank you I had the marriage certificate and I used the look up, which is what got me jane McMahon as a match. I thought she would only be 21 on their wedding cert, as he was a minor. This makes her 23. but maybe him 20.

Thank you so much for your help.

So it says Kate on this certificate but Catherine on her marriage certificate, is that usual?
