« on: Saturday 18 March 17 08:25 GMT (UK) »

I am looking for the baptism of my great grandfather Thomas McCabe. He was born in 1848 or 1849( I have both years in family documents)
His family were living in Castlecomer. His parents were John McCabe & Ellen McCabe nee Butler. He was the youngest in a family of 8 children.

Have you tried to find this baptism in the Castlecomer baptism records ?
Normally Babies were baptised in the parish their family was living in.

The reason I think it would be in St Johns  is I have this in my family records but no paper evidence.I meant to put in my post that his siblings were baptised in St Johns but accidently left it out
Thanks for your prompt reply
