Chemist shop 41-43 George St Stranraer 1920-1930 photos?
« on: Sunday 19 March 17 11:24 GMT (UK) »
One branch of our family were from  Stranraer, we have found a photo [ from Old Stranraer & Cainrnyan - Stenlake] of George Street taken from the George Hotel in its heyday, next was The Glasgow House dress shop and next to that was the Chemist where Peter Davidson b 1883 worked between 1920-1930 approx.
Just wondered if anyone had seen another photo of the shop front?
Peters parents - James Davidson  Mariner 1829-94 & Cathrine Cochrane 1849-1915 they lived for many years at Fern Lea Lewis St.

Fernlea is still there , on the corner of Lewis Street and Fairhurst Road, could get you a photo if you want.

Thanks but have sent those details to rest of the family using google.
The chemist shop 41-43 George St was owned by John Davidson details from the SP Valuation Roll 1920-1930.
