So....
I have an ancestor who was very 'thrifty' and didn't want to spend money on a house or rent so he appeared to try and spend as much time as he could at the leisure of her majesty.
On one record I have found that he was committed to Leeds Prison but it has the letters D.P.A.S. does anybody know what these letters mean?
