Help wth viewing American overseas recolds please
« on: Wednesday 22 March 17 19:55 GMT (UK) »
Hello, I can see why it takes years and years. I have been doing my tree off and on for about 10 years. One of my biggest brick walls, and still is, is my great great grandfather on my fathers side. Which I will keep going and trying any new little clues that might pop up. (I am waffling)

My other brick wall to date is what happened to my Great grandfathers siblings on my mothers side (Scottish) I believe they moved aboard, and I have from ancestry shipping logs and marriages. But I can't view them, even though I am a paid premier member, I can't see overseas records.

I believe it is them, as it would be strange for two siblings with the same first and second names to be travelling, the same time surely.

I would be extremely grateful if anyone can view these for me, in more detail. I am happy to of hopefully found some leads, also a little said as it seems that my great aunt died extremely young.

Angus Hendry is my great aunt and George Hendry is my great uncle :-)

Any help would be great :-)

Your Premium membership gives access to UK records, but for those you wish to view, you would need Worldwide membership.

Hi to view these records on Ancestry you will have to upgrade your subscription to Worldwide.
It will cost you a few extra pounds per month but you can always downgrade to Premier again once you have the records you want.

Take a look at your options on your Ancestry account and it will explain it to you or give them a phone.

I may be wrong and will be corrected if I am but I believe it is against Rootschat Policy to do lookups on commercial sites such as Ancestry etc.

If you are in the UK many public libraries have a subscription to Ancestry which covers all records.
