"The record of that event indicates that JAM's parents were:
  Father: Jamero MORICO, Farmer
  Mother: Abagail SPELLMAN"

When and where did these people die?  Did they stay in the United States [if so, I haven't found them] or did they go to Scotland or elsewhere?

The Glasgow electoral registers have a James Morico/James A. Morico listed in the late 1890's/early 1900's.

There is a James Morico shown on 1871 Surrey Electoral Register.  Having a closer look however shows a James Farquhar Morico.  Apparently this house became the Streatham school for girls in 1894.

[added - just found James F Morico in 1871 at the Shrubbery - he is a Insurance Broker and Underwriter - all his family from UK - name transcribed as Morris]

Can't see any Morico on freebmd before 1947 and no Morico on a UK census, outside Scotland.

That is quite clearly Morice on the register image, not Morico

That one is also Morice, not Morico. It's not completely legible but there is an "e" on the end
