There is a possible death registration for a Horace Stone (b. 1907) in 1984 in Bodmin; several options for a death registration for an Annie.

Do you know roughly when they were born and that they did not move from Cornwall?

Hi Saffie2, and welcome to RootsChat. :)

Very sorry, but I have edited your post above to remove the names of Horace and Annie's children, who might still be living.

But you might find this topic helpful when looking for their children:

The 1939 National Register has:

Horace G Stone, born c1908, living in Ilford, Essex?
With him is Annie L Stone

So, if this is him, this is their marriage:

September qtr 1937
Essex SW Registration District     vol 4a, page 977

Stone, Horace G
Godfrey, Annie L

Annie L Stone with Horace in 1939 has a birth year of 1909.

There is a death in Leicestershire in 2007, also grant and will for Annie Louise Stone.

Good morning to all on Rootschat ,being new to chatrooms and not very computer savvy , please excuse any mistakes and dumb questions.
Thank you so much to all who have taken the time to reply to my post re: Horace Stone Rock Cornwall, am I right in thinking by using the reply button all you lovely people will get my message of thanks, or is there a way of sending reply individually to each message I receive.
I have taken note of all info given and will delve deeper.
One fact I didn't explain properly  was that the daughter died while giving birth not ; died in childbirth,  perhaps there will be records of that somewhere not sure if the baby survived .
I am going to dig deeper with the family see if I can find when Horace was born , I think they stayed in Cornwall nothing was heard about them returning up here to the Midlands he had many relatives .
Happy Day, regards Carol.

Hi Carol

Welcome to rootschat

Your reply is just what is needed, private messages are generally used for information that is delicate.

What we really need to know as we are guessing at the moment is which Horace Stone are we looking for.  When was he born, who were his parents, did he have a middle name.  We can generally work it out from that information.

Hello Rosie 99
Sorry for delay in replying , my tablet gave up on me , been back to shop had to order one I wanted , so wrenched my Hubbys laptop out of his hands.
The birth date is a guess as apparently he had 5 brothers and a sister, looks like they gave up after they had the girl Lol ,as for the birth date we can only guess late 1800s our Grandad Harry was born 1885, but we don't know where Horace came in line, the parents names are Alfred and Annie, 2 of the siblings had very unusual first names, one was Derwood and another was Perkin, don't know if that helps.
Thanks for your time , regards Carol
