« on: Friday 31 March 17 14:54 BST (UK) »
Hello ,

I've found out that my ancestor Henry Taylor was from Wiltshire who went to Berkshire. Henry Taylor b.1763 of Lynesham? Wiltshire, christening date 1763 in Tockenham, Wiltshire , parents James Taylor and Ann . I can't find a marriage of James Taylor and Ann .That's why i don't know Ann's maiden name . Henry Taylor married a Martha , But where and when ? I don't know her maiden name or parents .

Can someone help me please?

Regards

Jane

Hallo, Jane.

Could you give us the source of your information?

There are many inaccurate trees online, so it would be best to work backwards from the first definitely proved information (from BMD certificates, censuses and parish register images or transcripts).

Sorry this doesn't answer your question, but it is best to check  :)

Oh I'm sorry , the Information that Henry is from Wiltshire comes from the 1841 census and that his wife was Martha from his daughters birth from familysearch. Her name was Sarah Taylor b.1806 in Warfield , Berkshire.

Henry would be 43 when Sarah was born in 1806.

You mention the 1841 Census. It does not show pob, only if born or not born in the County they are enumerated in.
So not sure where you got Henrys 1763's pob from?

Trish :)

OK;
1841 in Warfield, Berkshire we have;
Henry Taylor, 75, Beer Seller, not born in County
Eliza Peacock, 8, born in County

How do you know this is Sarahs Father?
When/where/who did she Marry?
Post 1837 when Fathers name/occp is shown?
Is Eliza Peacock Sarahs Daug? Is that the connection?

Trish :)

Yes , Eliza Peacock is the daughter of John Peacock and Sarah Taylor . Sarah Taylor and John married 31 March 1828 in Clewer , Berkshire . I found a birth for a Sarah Taylor b. 1806 Warfield to Henry Taylor and Martha . On the Census 1841 He was with his Granddaugther Eliza Peacock in Warfield and was born between 1762-1766 . On the Census 1851 he was in Warfield and 88 years old and born 1763 in Lyneham, Wiltshire. He was with his Son-in-law John Peacock,John Peacock was a widower . But I can't find Martha , Henry's Wife . I don't know her maiden name or their marriage.
