Hi im not sure if anyone can help with this im trying to find my out abou James Reay he was in the first world war he came from Drogheda. He married Anne Morrison in 1905.  Im trying to get his army record abd details of his death.  Also his brother William Reay. The name can be spelt Reay Rea or ray any help would be appreached there parents henry and annie whitten

I see from his marriage he was full age a Private in the Royal Munster Fusiliers and his father was a boiler maker. Stationed at Ebrington Barracks at the time.

There's a James Reay born c.1879, Drogheda who joined  -
Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers 2 Aug 1897, discharged  1 Aug 1909
Service number 5597

Next of kin -
Ann, Sunday's Gate, Drogheda
Edward Reay (brother) William Street
Kate Reay (sister) Drogheda South

My bad, think that marriage says Inniskilling not Munster so that would be the same guy.

James reay was born 9 december 1879 and william reay born 18 june 1866

Where did the army record come from. There was two other brothers who faught in ww1 George Reay 31 october 1980 and bowenes reay born 12 october 1888 and henry reay born 21 january 1876 all from drogheda
