NSW - Inquest Info...

Hi team

Is it possible to know if a 1960 inquest occurred in New South Wales and what records exist if it did?!

My man is:

George Kitchener CHAPMAN.
born: Carlton, Victoria 27 Jan 1900.
died: Sydney (maybe Pymble), NSW 10 Feb 1960.
bd: Field of Mars, Ryde.

Cause of death was 'due to fall from bridge' so that's why I thought there may be a inquest or some further info.  In fact his death from memory was self inflicted.

After WWI, George seemed to live the life of a drifter only surfacing now and then.  I've seen a couple of mentions of him on Trove.

I think it's of help although I seem to be going around and around in circles... At least it tells me they do exist, now just to find if one occurred.

Do you have the NSW BDM death cert (or official transcription), as it should record if a Coroner was involved and the certified cause/s of death as per either the Coroner or the Medico.  The NSW BDM online index shows the death was registered in Sydney. "Sydney" in that sense means within the Sydney BDM district, which does NOT include the suburbs in other local government areas, but rather is more like the City of Sydney's local government area, including the Coroner's Court.   

#1315/1960 CHAPMAN  George Kitchner, aged 60 years (Pymble), registered Sydney.
