Edward Whitehead, 1762 Hawarden

Hi there,
I was wondering if someone could help me with this person. I am trying to find out what happened to him. The only record I have so far is his baptism in 1762.
He had 4 brothers, all stone masons, who ended up in partnership together in London. I can't find any records for Edward in Wales or London. I'm guessing he could have died young but don't know for sure.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I know that his brother James was in Liverpool between 1786 and 1788 and he was also a stone mason.
How would I connect the two though?

Hi Vicky
the baptism for Edward Whitehead (26 September 1762) shows parents Peter and Elizabeth, so you can discount the burial on 30 Oct 1791 St James, Toxteth, Lancashire, England, as parents names are different

I thought that Edward, the one who died in 1791, might be the son of Edward born in 1762. That maybe he had a son who died young

There are two records that might possibly go with the Edward and Mary you have identified,but do not prove it is the correct Edward.Both records are at www.lan-opc.org.uk

(birth therefore 1762/1763)

Mary Whitehead,Trafalgar St,burial 1843 aged 72
(birth therefore 1770/1771,slightly young for quoted marriage)

There is a newspaper snippet of the time that clearly identifies her,at that address, as "relict of Edward Whitehead,late marble mason of this town"

Wow great thank you for finding these. The age of Edward certainly matches as i know he was born 1762 and the job. Seems likely it is him but i can't prove it. Maybe not the right marriage though. I will keep investigating.
