Louisa b1831 Godstone Surrey
« on: Monday 03 April 17 09:34 BST (UK) »
Am trying to find the surname of the above. She was married to James Baker and had many a children in Salehurst, East Peckham Kent.
I know that in 1861 they were living in Seal Green, Sean. Her husband was a Police Officer. I have searched but still no clearer. Any help would be appreciative.

You have the family on the census so a search for their births in  the GRO index, it will show the maiden name of the mother.

I think you will find her name was PIGGOTT.

The names James Baker and Louisa Piggot appear on the same page of the register for Ticehurst, June  quarter 1850.

I did find Piggot but really was unsure. I know they had a child James Baker 1851 Salehurst. What's GRO please?
