Are you 100% sure her mother's name was Mary.
Have you got her birth cert?
There is a marriage of a Patrick Hawkins New Inn Woodlawn to a Cathetine Dunne Nov 1911.

Than Mary Dunne was a widow when she married?
Catherine Dunne was single.

Thanks , the marriage in 1911 was my grandparents and Mary Dunne was my grandmothers mother but I've got no info on this only a vary sparse family tree, my mother was Rita Hawkins who was the youngest and I've very little info on her or my relatives and would be most grateful for any info no matter how obscure

Many thanks

Okay bit of confusion there.
So Catherine Dunne who married Patrick Hawkins was the daughter of Mary Dunne
the marriage cert gives her father as Patrick Dunne deceased.
It should be possible to find Mary and Catherine in the 1911 census

Sorry for confusion, I agree on what you say, what I was wondering was Catharine Hawkins (nee Dunne) was my grandmother and her youngest Rita Hawkins was my mother and wether there was anybody who knew the family and could give me any info at all wether it be schools or remaining family members

Many thanks

I think this is Catherine and her family in 1911
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Killaan/Clooncallis/449179/
The child Lucy was born 1899 and her mother is Brien
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1899/02015/1773426.pdf

so far that seems to match, need to find the death of Patrick between 1899 and 1911 to double check.

Later
