I have found the marriage of Gwendoline Bunce to Norman Searle registered in July August Sept Qrt 1939...

Have been told marriage was in the September...
Which census should I begin to look at to find these parents with their children please can anyone point me in the right direction...
Thank you in anticipation for any help given...

Should I look for the above couples births first ?

1911 last available census, look ups not allowed.

Would look for births, but maybe born later than 1911.

Even if you locate, without certs you cannot confirm if correct.

You will find them in the 1939 register (on Find My Past) that will give you their exact dates of birth. (plus her mother is with them  ) Unfortunately both were born after the 1911 census, so you will need to find their births on the GRO site and that will give you their mother's maiden names. From there you really need to buy their birth certificates so that you can find the correct marriage for the parents. To be able to work back you need to get back to the 1911 census.

Going from 1939 info, this looks to be Gwendoline parents marriage

Births Jun Q 1916   Mmn Young
Bunce Gwendoline I     Cirencester    6a   660 (birth/marriage cert would confirm)

Just to let people know that I've managed to get Sophiedog back to 1901. Due to the fact it was fairly recent information and involved living people it had to be done by PM.

That is the right marriage, Cas.
