William John Watson
« on: Wednesday 05 April 17 16:36 BST (UK) »
Looking for information on William John Watson, born in 1903 in Whitburn West Lothian , Scotland.
He immigrated to Newcastle in 1932 and married Ivy May Ambler in 1937 at Wallsend NSW.
He enlisted for the Army in 1939 and his service number was N457165. ( He lied about his age and told Army he was born in 1906 and not 1903 which was actual burth year).
I cannot find any information on children, so anything on the family history would be welcome.

Hi,

The Australian National Archives would hold William's WW2 enlistment papers which have not yet been digitised therefore there would most likely be fee involved to be able to receive a copy. Go to the Archives site and carry out a records search for the details.
