OWENS, James married BLAYNEY Mary
« on: Thursday 06 April 17 00:46 BST (UK) »
My brick wall! I am searching for James OWENS, died 19 June 1847 in Chorley County Lancaster(probate). Married Mary BLAYNEY 1828 Glenealy Church of Ireland (archives) James was an apothecary. Mary died 16 May 1891.   Their children were: George Francis Charles (c1843 Ireland- 1925 New Zealand; William Henry John (c 1840 Ireland - 1925 NZ); Frederick James (c 1836 - 1906) he was vicar of St James Church, Chorley.; Fanny (no dates found); Mary (no dates found); Jane (born c
.101833); Emily E H ( c1836-c1845 Ireland. Found in census) Jane married William BELL a doctor, 22 June 1859 in Lancashire. Emily appeared to be Frederick's housekeeper - or at least lived with him and never married.  I have found George and William and have good documentation of them in New Zealand.
Any help and/or suggestions would be welcome.

Looks like Frederick comes under James Frederick
on the IGP for wicklow says Mary and James married 1828/29 but no date added
http://www.icp-web.com

Chorley now comes under Lancashire

Thank you, rathmore, for that information. I do have most of it so I am on the right track.  Maybe if I track Jane married William BELL, I may be able to backtrack to James and Mary. Thank you for your help and comments. Regards, Miss Paddlefoot

Hi, I think he may have been a relation of mine. My Grandmother was named Owens and her father William Owens from Shangannah, Wicklow. My name is Eoin James 😁
