William Phillips age 28 born 1813

Was he born in the County (Gloucestershire) and can anyone decipher his occupation?

they are in same dwelling (but living sepeately) as John Lawrence and wife and children

I had made a guess at waterman and was hoping to have it confirmed.

Transcription:
On the transcription for William they have a line for his place of birth which I took to mean born in county (Gloucestershire).
Martha and young William they have transcribed as born Somerset.

on 1841 it only states Y or N for p.o.b. - so it sounds like the transcriber has been a little inventive!!

Strictly Bristol is a county in its own right, but I suspect most people including the inumerators would assume Gloucestershire was the county in question for the pob column in 1841. Princes Street lies adjacent to part of the Floating Harbour and runs down to another part, so quite handy for a waterman
