Staff Sergeant William McNaughton, Australian Dental Corps
« on: Monday 10 April 17 18:14 BST (UK) »
He died in hospital in England in February 1917 and was taken to Stirling, Scotland for burial. In his Service Record, it indicates that his uncles and aunts (mcnaughtons) attended the funeral and that his grandmother McNaughton lived in Irvine Place in Stirling. His parents were William and Jessie (nee Jardine) and they lived at Redcliffe, Brisbane. I would like to establish the Scottish connection but so far no luck. Were one or both of his parents Scottish or was it an earlier generation?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you both for everything. As usual it begins to put a human face on a statistic.
