Hannah Steel/Millican, correct death?
« on: Tuesday 11 April 17 20:41 BST (UK) »
Hi guys, its been a while,

I am currently trying to locate a death record for Hannah Steel, daughter of Joseph and Ann Steel of Stapleton.

Though she was baptised in 1803, the actual record states she was about 7 years old at the baptism, giving her an actual birth year of 1796. This information is not recorded on the transcription of the baptism online and is only written in the original.

I have tried looking for a death, but to no avail.

There is a possible marriage for her. A Hannah Steel and William Millican marry in 1824 in Nichol Forest. This could be her, however when looking at the burials for Stapleton, there is a burial for a Hannah Millican of Peaknow in April 1832, aged 26. At first, this looks like a marriage and death for Hannah, however the age on the burial record puts her birth year quite off, unless it is a transcription error or the registrar thought her baptism in 1803 was her birth year and even then it is off by 3 years.

There is some baptisms for some children in Nichol Forest. Their son David born in 1830 dies in 1839, registered as living in Peaknow.

Any help would be appreciated.
