Death of Great Grandfather
« on: Wednesday 12 April 17 14:26 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a date for the death of my G/grandfather OWEN JOHN CUNNINGHAM. He was born in Birmingham in 1886. Unsuccessful searches on Ancestry for his death, the last information I can find is the Electoral Roll for 1920 which gives his residence. I have searched local newspapers for an obituary notice but have found nothing. (Local paper, Birmingham Mail ) I have looked at Historical Newspapers website but the only decade they have not yet transcribed is the 1920s so I'm assuming he died sometime in the 1920s but I cannot be sure. If anyone has any suggestions where I might search next I would be very grateful.

Cheers!

The only reference I have is " MIDLANDS, ENGLAND, ELECTORAL REGISTERS, 1832 - 1955" for the year 1920 . (Obtained from Ancestry Search)

1942 death of John Cunningham, this looks like the man at the start of the war.

born 1885 was in the aircraft business, at a guess Castle Bromwich lived in Coombes Lane B'ham with wife Mary (Polly Jane) a teacher and son Angus, there looks to be another child.
