Hi, I am trying to find the parents of George Ashcroft. I have no idea when he was born but I suppose at a guess, from looking at his marriage certificate, 1770 give or take five years makes sense.
He married Elizabeth Evans in 1794 in Kinlet, and my great great grandfather Joseph Ashcroft was born in 1811 in Bridgnorth.
This is all the info I have at the moment, going backwards, though I did find records saying George was a surveyor.
