Yews Green, Clayton, Bradford, BD14
« on: Sunday 16 April 17 00:04 BST (UK) »
i'm researching the hamlet where i live as named above, so no names involved.
i know that it is split into 2 areas at least & that these kept changing over time. i've done 1911 & now onto 1901. i've found what there is under yorkshire/clayton/district 13 & 14 but cannot find the other half. it should come under yorkshire/thornton/?????? but can find no reference to the area. West Scholes is the next hamlet up before queensbury but can't find that either. any suggestions please?

Are you searching on Ancestry, FindMyPast, or some other site?

Have you considered finding a family that stays in the same house or same village in e.g. West Scholes, so is there in 1911 and 1891, and then trying to find them in 1901?

Do you want to give us a name of a family who are there in 1911 and 1891, but you cannot see in 1901, just so we can have a look?

Just for ref:

i want to know how to find which County/civil parish/ enumeration district to look under for specific census as they kept changing. as i said i've found half of the hamlet under clayton but think the other comes under thornton but cannot find it. is there a quicker way of finding the enumeration district than going through every record for that civil parish?
