Have come back to this recently and just had a breakthrough. A while ago I did find a 1939 entry that I felt was Alice, birth date just one year out. Seemed to be with three other unconnected people so could get no further.
St Pancras
1 Adler U
2 Gee Henry 25-3-1907
3 Gee Willis Alice 13-10-1881 a cleaner Gee Willis crossed out Willis written in
4 Difficult to figure this one out (will put this on a separate post)

Can now confirm it is the Alice Iím looking for and the Henry Gee is in fact her son
From the birth PDF
Henry Gee 25-3-1907 37 Devonshire Street, South Manchester UD
Father Henry
Mother Alice Stammers a charwoman
Fatherís profession scene fixer
Informant H Gee father Alice Stammers mother
37 Devonshire Street, South Manchester

Also believe this other birth is hers although she doesnít use the name Stammers
From the birth PDF
Alice Willis 17-11-1911 20 Nell Lane (Withington) South Manchester UD
Father James Willis
Mother Alice Willis formerly Gee
Fatherís profession General labourer of Hulme UD
Registered by J Firth 20 Nell Lane (Withington) South Manchester Occupier

There is a Workhouse Birth Register entry and a Workhouse Cemetery Register for this child, she only lived for 18 days and the birth was registered by the Master of the Workhouse. I have ordered the death PDF but unlikely it will give more information beyond cause of death.

Now looking for Alice, Henry & Henry in 1911
There is a Alice Stammers in Ashton upon Mersey
Born about 1879 London

I know Henry Junior married Bertha Looker
18-12-1926 Manchester
Father Henry Gee (deceased) a scene remover
No idea what that occupation entails
Also have school records for Henry that suggest he was brought up by his parents

Think I need to move this to Lancashire board

Thanks for reading

Got the death PDF for 1911 and I was very wrong about it not providing more information
4-12-1911 Workhouse Infirmary (Withington) South Manchester UD
Alice Willis 17 days
Daughter of Henry Willis scene shifter of Hulme UD
Cause of death Immaturity Exhaustion
Informant was Clara Firth, Matron, Workhouse Infirmary, Withington

So Henry (Gee) claimed her as his but used the surname Willis as Alice senior had used it when she went into the workhouse. I think his occupation confirms it is the same man.
I Googled scene shifter and maybe he worked in a theatre as a stagehand.
Still canít find either Henry in 1911

I now have the deaths of Alice Willis and her son Henry Gee.
Alice died 21st January 1962 at Rochford Hospital, Essex. She was listed as widow of James Henry Willis, a railway cleaner. The informant was H Gee, son and she was living at the same address as Henry in Basildon.
Henry died 14th December 1980 at St Andrews Hospital, Billericay, Essex. The informant was his son but I won't name him as he may be alive. Henry had remarried in 1974 and information from the marriage certificate confirmed that Alice's son Henry Gee and the Henry Gees from the 1974 marriage and the 1980 death were all the same person.
