Just to confuse things, there is this Morris family in the 1881 census:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q27J-YTHQ

childrens birth registrations show mmn as Wood

and this possible marriage:
Marriages Jun 1870

Morris    Henry         Shrewsbury    6a   1304
Wood    Harriet Maria         Shrewsbury    6a   1304

Thankyou very much for the latest info. I believe that the Lizzie Morris on the 1901 census is my grandmother, however i also think the Elizabeth Clark on the 1891 census is probably her too, otherwise why would a nine year old girl be living with someone else's family?

I didn't know about the Morris/Wood marriage or the births of Caroline Morris and Elizabeth Morris. I will certainly check this out, after all, anything's possible and it gives me a new take on the whole thing. Thanks again
