Mary Copp - Tiverton Devon

Hi I am hoping someone can help with the baptism of Mary Copp probably around 1740-1750. The Copp family seem to come from the area and Mary married James Ellis at Tiverton 6 April 1773. I think James may have  lived or was born around the area of Tiverton also. Any help would be appreciated I have searched IGI without success.

There were two marriages in Tiverton in 1773 for a Mary COPP.
6 Apr 1773 to James ELLIS
31 Aug 1773 to Thomas BOOBIER
In both cases she was said to be 'of this parish'.
A Mary COPP was baptised at Washfield (2 miles away) 6 Mar 1749/50, father - John
A Mary COPP was baptised at Cruwys Morchard (4 miles away) 3 Feb 1752, dau of John & Mary.

Hi thanks for your reply. Is there any sign of James Ellis at Tiverton? I have a Peter Ellis possible brother baptised at Tiverton in 1733 and James and Mary had a son Peter baptised 1779 at Tiverton so thought there might be a connection?

There's a James ELLIS son of Peter & Mary bapt 8 May 1736 at Bickleigh (3 miles from Tiverton). Also James bapt at Silverton (6 miles away) 17 Apr 1746 son of Peter & Grace.
There is a burial at Tiverton for a James ELLIS 27 Apr 1828 aged 82 so born 1746. Similarly a burial for a Mary ELLIS 14 Jan 1821 aged 73 so born ca 1748.

Thanks that might help. I have found a John Copp married Anne Beadle at Tiverton 4 April 1743? Could be possible parents for Mary. Mary also had a daughter Anne baptised 1789 at Tiverton so could be named after her mother?

Also have a possible parents for James as Peter Ellis and Elizabeth Rowe married Tiverton 1732. I think the James and Mary Ellis you just gave me are the right ones.
