Hello again and thanks so very much - i didnt have this info. Amazing  the Athenic ship was the one my grandmother came out to NZ on in 1913.

Rumour had it that Elizabeth husband did travel home with his unit.

Hello again, Dont really need the actual cert now, was trying to establish whether they married overseas or in NZ.
Have checked out a few web sites as to finding Elizabeths war service record. But no finds as yet.
We dont really know what she did other then she went from being a lacemaker in Ireland to war service.

I can see from your other posts you have details of her parent's.. a marriage certificate would give you her occupation ... ;)..Might be hard getting the other records good luck with your research  :)

Oh, I hadnt thought of that, however family is sure her "real" occupation had been a lacemaker in Ireland prior to serving in the war. I will jut keep looking - might get lucky finding details somewhere, thanks for all your help.
